There is a Sleeping Man in my Bed, lying Next to me…

his snore is soft, and he’s wearing all his work-clothes. He had a hard day at work today and his headache recently went away. We met after work, and ate at McDonald’s and had Ice Cream at Baskin Robbins.

He lives about 30 minutes away, but came over to spend some time with me.

If I had to describe him, I’d call him handsome… and also shy, and a little awkward– which adds a sweetness to him which makes his smile one of the most genuine and honest ones I’ve seen in a long while.

His hair is soft, black and slightly wavy. He looks like a mixture of many different things, and people have difficulty pinning down his ethnic background.

His skin is smooth. He has broad shoulders and his arms feel confident when they’re around me. He is youthfulness, and seriousness, and loses confidence in himself, at times, too easily. Then suddenly he is brash and carefree.

There are only extremes with him– no inbetweens.

I don’t know if we’ll end up together in the end, but right now I’m enjoying the warmth of his hand on my leg as I type this.. his breathing heavy and snoring lightly.
